Seeking a full time pastor with a calling to replant our church
Franklin Congregational Church is an evangelical, unaffiliated, full gospel Bible-believing church. Our purpose is threefold: worship, discipleship, and evangelism. We started in 1718 and we have a long history of service to our Lord. This history can be viewed from this web site by going to the “Links of Interest” page and clicking on “History of Franklin CT”. We serve 20 - 25 people every Sunday morning . Although we are few in number, we are full of the Holy Spirit. We have been going through a period of severe trial but we know that it is God’s will for us and we look forward with joy and expectation to what the Lord has planned for our future. We are located in eastern Connecticut in a small town with a population of about 2,500 souls.
We are seeking a spirit-filled pastor from the age of 30-45 with strengths in preaching, teaching and discipleship that will shepherd the congregation through the building of personal relationships, expanding community outreach, and sharing the day-to-day administration of the church with the Board of Deacons.
We desire a man who will teach and preach the Word without apology; help develop and grow the small group ministry; and build relationships with our people, no matter their life position, scenario, or circumstance. We expect that he will revitalize our congregation to seeking God more completely in their lives and grow our congregation by working closely with the church leadership to evangelize and reach out to our community and beyond. We would also like the pastor to encourage the congregation to step out of their comfort zone to evangelize the community.
We desire a man with a formal education in ministry and preferably 5 years of experience in church ministry.
This Senior Pastor position is a full time position with salary and benefits including a beautiful parsonage adjacent to the church. If you have the spirit of a church planter and a calling to "repot” our church, please contact our interim pastor, Rev. Chuck Schleich or one of our deacons.
We are looking for a Senior Pastor candidate who fulfills these minimum requirements:
2. Has a minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology, biblical studies, pastoral ministry, or a related field from an accredited college, university, or seminary.
3. Has at least 5 years of experience and is familiar with the congregational form of church government.
4. Is passionate about growing the body of Christ here in Franklin and pursuing the mission that Christ laid out for his body here on earth.

- a preacher who preaches God’s Word boldly and effectively.
- a teacher who teaches the Gospel and encourages group participation.
- a leader who has vision, seeks the vision of others, calls others to action and invests himself in developing leaders.
- a humble shepherd who displays a caring and nurturing heart.
2. Has a minimum of a bachelor's degree in theology, biblical studies, pastoral ministry, or a related field from an accredited college, university, or seminary.
3. Has at least 5 years of experience and is familiar with the congregational form of church government.

- Has a graduate degree from an accredited seminary
- Is very comfortable with the use of technology
- Is married and has children
